Different Types of Escalator Balustrade

Different Types of Balustrades

Slim Base Profile

We make "Slim Base Profile" from  10-millimeter thick tempered glass with a height of 90 centimeters. Due to glass transparency, it gives the escalator light and contemporary look, which is the reason it is a favorite among architects and interior designers alike. We manufacture the glass in separate pieces in accordance with standard measurements. There are no protective covers or barriers in their seams, which gives them a cleaner, more minimalistic look. The customer can also order these types of balustrades in stainless steel or a combination of glass and stainless steel. Glass balustrade is the only type of balustrade which can add the illumination option. Balustrade lighting is positioned under the handrail. It gives the escalator or moving walk a more stylish look.

Solid Vertical or Inclined

We normally make this type of balustrade from stainless steel, which has a higher durability, making it more suitable for crowded public transportation stations, i.e. subway stations, airports, train stations, etc., as well as outdoor escalators and moving walks. Based on their choice, the customer can order the inner part of the balustrade in a vertical or inclined orientation.

Extended

When we install escalators and moving walks in a void, or there is a sheer drop on the sides of the escalator entrance or exit, and there is no construction balustrade on either side, we can utilize extended balustrades either on the entrance, the exit, or both. Nonetheless, instead of using an extended balustrade, it is better to use a static 90-degree bent construction balustrade with sufficient length. This would overlap the escalator balustrade in order to create a proper shelter.
